The best insights to protect you from UV rays of the Sun

It is troublesome to avoid sun exposure to your skin. Repeated sun exposure puts you at risk for skin cancer. So, protecting your skin from harmful rays of the sun is necessary.

Use Sunscreen

Your skin is exposed to the sun every day whenever you go outside the home. Sunscreen is not just for the beach outings, but the sunscreen with an SPF of 15 or higher blocks UVA and UAB rays. You must choose cosmetics and lip balms and water-resistant sunscreens with higher SPFs for your activities at beaches.

How to apply sunscreen?

  • Apply sunscreen 20 to 30 minutes before sun exposure for 30 minutes
  • Reapply it every 2 hours to go outdoors though the product is labeled with All-Day.
  • Apply it more frequently after sweating or swimming while checking its expiration date.
  • Cover your ears, lips, back of hands, eyes, and face.
  • Ladies must apply it under makeup.
  • Opt for water-resistant sunscreen for swimming and playing in the water on the beach.
  • If you are perspiring, moisture makes it less effective.

Check out daily UV Index/UV Alert

You must examine the daily UV Index on your smartphone or laptop before planning to go outside in the sunshine. The Record shows the risk of overexposure to the sun on a scale from 1 to 11 plus. A higher digit indicates greater risk. A UV alert means that the UV Index is 6 or greater in your area. You should opt for indoor activities if your location comes under a UV Alert.

Wear the right kind of outfits

You must wear dark long-sleeved shirts and long pants, made up of denim/polyester, to block the sun rays.

Stay in Shade

You must stay in the Shade while remaining outside. You may use an umbrella or relax under a large umbrella at a beach. Wear UV protected glasses, hats with a brim or hood.

You may take advantage of Nature’s Essence Sun Ban Lotion to protect your skin from UV rays of the sun.
